The newly built "Craftsmens' Gallery", located in one of the rear wings of the Neuwildenstein Stately Home, is the perfect venue for those who wish to spend a few hours of personal reflection in Advent.
On saturday, Decembre 12 and sunday, Decembre 13, 2009, our local craftsmen proudly present their works of art, in atmospheric surroundings. A festive Christmas market will take place in the courtyard of this stately home.

Christmas Market on the market square in Hallstatt

The romantic Christmas Market on the market square in Hallstatt, a world Heritage Site, is the highlight of Advent. From December, 6th -8th 2009 you can come and experience local custom and tradition for yourself.
In keeping with tradition, the Christmas Crib (Nativity scene) will be displayed in the market square again this year. The 3-dimensional, life-size crib scene was made by the HTBLA Hallstatt sculpting class. Lanterns made by school children from Obertraun will light up the market square!
